Welcome to my personal webpage! I'm Angad, a sophomore at Olin College of Engineering in Needham, Massachusetts. This online portfolio serves as a collection of my experiences, interests, and the various passions that enrich my life.
I am deeply fascinated by Planes, Aviation, and intricate workings of Machines. I have a commercial Drone Pilot License (FAA Part 107), and during the summer of 2025, I worked towards my private pilot license.
One of my favorite hobbies is creating 3D models that bring my ideas to life. Along my journey, I've also discovered a love for Computer Programming, a field that offers endless opportunities for growth and creativity.
In my free time, I enjoy playing Guitar and activities such as Axe Throwing and Archery. I also find great pleasure in exploring the world through Aerial Photography, which provides me with a captivating perspective on the landscapes below.
Check out my projects and experiences below.
Internships
NASA Ames
NASA Internship (Paid) - Summer of 2023
Interned with NASA Ames in Aviation Systems Division Concept Design. I worked in a team to identify and propose a solution for a problem that affects society as a whole with aviation in mind.
I proposed using self-sacrificing UAVs to spread fire retardants to contain fire in hard to reach places.
I interviewed Capt Centoni from at Alameda County Fire (Pictured) as part of my research.
The resulting research paper was well received and is published on NASA Technical Reports Server.
Mars Institute’s Global Research Internship Program (MI-GRIP) Internship
I interned at MI-GRIP 1 on 1 with Dr. Pascal Lee, working on a concept for a GlobeTrotter-Lunar (GTL), a device for the exploration of the lunar surface and subsurface.
Dr Pascal Lee is co-founder and chairman of the Mars Institute, a planetary scientist at the SETI Institute, and the Principal Investigator of the Haughton-Mars Project at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California.
I created a use case simulation for the tool under different gravitational values with emphasis on use case scenarios for exploring lunar lava caves.
A paper on my work as a first author, was accepted for the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Lunar Exploration Analysis Group, which supports NASA in lunar exploration.
Oversaw propulsion for an RC model airplane for competition using Onshape.
Conducted cost/weight/thrust/ power analysis.
Made an on-wing mounting structure for structural integrity and ideal CG.
Onshape
Laser-Cutting
I was tasked with making an automata with one input and one output motion
Onshape
Laser Cutter
A team project - to make a kinetic sculpture powered by a belt-driven power supply with a motor that fits in a 12”x12”x5” space.

Laser-Cutting
Lathe
3D Printing
An automaton of something that is unique about our college – the Olin College of Engineering.
Onshape
Laser Cutting
Lathing
3D Printing
I created a 21 Pilots Logo Necklace for my sister who is a huge fan of the band.
It was a fun little project for me which allowed me to put some of my skills to use.

Manual Mill
My Github profile has details on all my projects big and small.
Some highlights are listed right here ->
A tool I made to play around with chatGPT and demonstrate its use in quickly bringing your ideas to life
Social Media is inevitable - so I wanted to create a platform that encourages better habits in participants while avoiding addictive parts.
In 2020-2021, spread of Covid-19 had shut down many libraries, causing people who wanted to borrow and read books unable to obtain them.
I created this project with my co-students in my freshman year to help volunteers deliver library books to those in need.
During the early 2020, I created this project for my AP-CSP assignment with a co-student.
The purpose of the program is to simulate an outbreak of the coronavirus in a population.
A tool that helps you read slow! For everyone who wants to take it a little easy.
Over summer of 2025 I took lessons in flying at Livermore Airport in California to earn a Private Pilot License.
Learning to fly has been my childhood dream but I did not appreciate how demanding it can be! The Flying lessons, and studying for the PPL written exams gave me a much deeper appreciation for airplane design, ground communication, ATC, and airplane pilots.
Volunteering Work
I worked as a Zenith Galaxy Explorer at Chabot Space and Science Center at Oakland, CA while in High School.
Volunteering at the Chabot was an experience like no other. Being surrounded by, and being able to demonstrate, the wonders of space and science is truly inspiring and creates a sense of curiosity and wonder that is infectious.
This opportunity allowed me to give back to the community and bring the joy and delight of science demonstrations to visitors, kids and adults alike.
I literally grew up on science museums around the San Francisco bay area. I felt lucky to now be on the other side of the table and be able to bring the same wonder to young visitors.
I also participate in Rocketry and Engineering clubs at Chabot.
